NCAA Division I Wrestling on ESPN2

Dear Wrestling Fan,

Did you hear the news? For years wrestling fans have been disappointed in the coverage of the NCAA National Wrestling Championships by major TV networks. Apparently, the pendulum has finally swung our way. ESPN2 plans expanded and same day coverage of the Championships in Iowa City in March of 2001.

Here is a link to a story on TheMat.com (www.themat.com) that relates relevant information to this story. Please visit: http://www.themat.com/pressbox/pressdetail.html?aid=999

We think we can get even better coverage of the Championships of the world's oldest and greatest sport if you and your wrestling fans contact the ESPN network website and thank them for the coverage and ask for more coverage of the tourney.

You can do this by filling out a simple form at the url: http://espn.go.com/sitetools/s/contact/espntv.html

Please fill out this form and select ESPN2 as its destination when you submit it. Thank them for the renewed effort to cover wrestling and encourage expanded coverage of the semis and quarter finals.

Once you've submitted the form to ESPN2 can I get you to go one step farther?

Please go to the following url: http://www.ncaa.org/cgi-bin/staffmailform.pl?id=rbuhr@ncaa.org&name=Randy+Buhr

Randy Buhr is in charge of the NCAA Wrestling Championships. Fill out the submission form in a similar way. Thank them for the renewed media coverage and ask for more.

If you're a wrestling fan you know how important media coverage is for this meet. Please take the time to send in these two submission forms. This original message will go out to over two-thousand wrestling fans. Hopefully, you will pass it on and encourage others to take part in this quick but effective way in supporting the NCAA Wrestling Championships.

Wrestling is a thriving sport that has been overlooked by the mainstream media for too long. Here is your chance to act. Fill out the forms......pass this message along to others....and help change the perception of wrestling nationwide.
