RB Sandiford Invitational @ Myers Park

With nine in the finals and six individual champions, the Eagles of Eastside High School, the South Carolina 3A Dual and Individual State Champions, walked away with the title at the 2004 RB Sandiford Invitational held Nov. 27th at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, NC.  Among the winners for Eastside were Matt Leach, a 2x state champion, and JC Oddo, a former Charlotte area resident who was the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the SC state tournament last year as an undefeated (58-0) freshman.  Local wrestlers winning titles were Kase Graham (112 lbs.) and Mike Gannon (145 lbs.) of Providence, Jonathan Brody (130 lbs.) of JM Robinson, and Stanton White (189 lbs.) and Jarris Alexander (215 lbs.) of Myers Park.  Alexander upset the SC state runner up from last year, Zach Smith of Eastside. (submitted by Jim Trenner)
