Trojans Stop Red Devils
 On Tuesday the Bandys Trojans traveled to Newton-Conover for a conference dual meet.  The match started at 275lbs where the Red Devils quickly jumped to a 6-0 lead after a pin by Julian Cermuda.  At 103lbs Jordan Armstrong tied the match with a pin for Bandys.  At 112lbs Newton-Conover retook the lead when State Champion Josh Webster won a major decision over Ryan White.  His brothe Eric Webster increased the Red Devil lead with a pin at 119lbs.  The 125lbs match was scoreless at the end of regulation, but Ethan Carter scored a takedown in overtime to claim the win and add three more points to the Red Devil score.  Joe Smith won another decision for the Red Devils at 130lbs giving his team a 22-6 lead.  At 135lbs Bandys started to rebound when Matt Stogner won a major decision.  This was followed by Trent Mauney winning a decision at 140lbs and State Champion Colt Howell scoring a pin at 145lbs.  Chris Chapman scored three more team points for the Trojan by winning a 6-2 decision tieing the team score at 22-22.  Bandys Two-Time State Champion Byron Sigmon propelled Bandys into the lead when he scored a pin at 160lbs.  State Runner-Up William Gilleland increased this lead scoring another pin for the Trojans at 171lbs.  Markley Morrison locked up the team win for Bandys when he scored a 3-2 decision at 189lbs.  The Red Devils won the final match of the evening when 215lb Andrew Rhiehardt won by pin.   This made the final score Bandys 37  Newton-Conover 28.
