Below is the layout for the mats in 2008. For the first rounds, all 8 mats will be used for each division. All first round matches in all weights for 3A will be wrestled, followed by 4A, then 1A/2A.

Following the first round, the layout will be as below: Mats 1 and 2 will always be 1A/2A. Mats 4 and 5 will always be 3A. Mats 7 and 8 will always be 4A. Mats 3 and 6 will be the "floater" mats.

This will make it easier for spectators to follow one particular division, and also prevent coaches from having to run all over the floor.
