Bandys, North Iredell, Hickory tri-match

On Friday night the Bandys wrestling team traveled to North Iredell for a non-conference tri-meet with North Iredell and Hickory. In the first match North Iredell defeated Hickory 60-15.

The second match was between Bandys and Hickory. The Trojans had five straight pins up to the 137lbs match to lead 30-0. Hickory came back with 2 decisions and one major decision to bring the score to 30-10. Bandys recorded a tech fall at 154lbs and followed that with four more pins before receiving a forfeit at 277lbs to make the final score 65-10.

In the final match of the evening Bandys defeated North Iredell 64-12. The States top ranked 1A/2A 154lb wrestler, Sean McIntosh up his record to 33-0 with tonight's victories. Eric Burns 125lb/130lb improved to 31-2 while 277lb Jarvis McCullough is now 31-1. Bandys, the Southern District -7 champions improved to 5-0 conference, 22-2 over all. Bandys will wrestle their final regular season dual meet on Tuesday with Lincolnton. The non-conference match will start at 6:00 pm. The Trojans will recognize their four seniors and their families at this match.
