Bandys 65 - Lincolnton 9Jan. 26, 1999 Bandys wrestlers defeated Lincolnton at home Tuesday evening in their final regular season meet. At 154lbs Sean McIntosh defeated Kenny Hastings 11-1. This was only Hastings 2nd defeat of the season. McIntosh remains undefeated at 34-0. Five seniors and their families were recognized tonight. The seniors were Brandon Styers, 140lbs; Chris Douglas, 160lbs; Brad Burke, 191lbs; Jarvis McCullough, 277lbs; and Greg Bennett. Bennett was a three-year starter for Bandys and finished 3rd at the state tournament last season in the 171lbs-weight class. Greg injured his knee in Bandys last football play off game and hasn't been able to wrestle this season. The Trojans finished the regular season 23-2 overall. Bandys will next compete in the conference tournament at Statesville Saturday morning.
