Bandys 57 - South Caldwell 15

On Tuesday night the Bandys wrestlers traveled to South Caldwell and defeated the Spartans 57-15. The Trojans scored six pins, one forfeit, three major decisions and one decision. There were several match ups of previous state qualifiers. At 125lbs, Eric Burns pinned Nathan Teague in the second period after leading 11-1. At 160lbs South Caldwell's Chuck Lemming decisioned Chris Douglas 6-5. In a very hard fought match, Lemming scored a 2 point takedown with one second left for the victory.

In a match featuring two of the states best wrestlers, Sean McIntosh decisioned Darryl Tucker 8-2. McIntosh was a 143lb cadet all-american last summer in Fargo N.D. and Tucker placed 3rd last season at 160lbs in the North Carolina 3A state championships in Charlotte.

Bandys next competition will be in the Viking/Warrior duals in Statesville on Friday evening and all day on Sturday.
