Coaching Vacancies for 2000-2001

  • East Chapel Hill High School is searching for a new head wrestling coach for the 2000-2001 year. Contact Athletic Director Ray Hartsfield at (919) 969-2482, ext. 250.

  • Leesville Road High School in Raleigh is looking for a Head Wrestling Coach. Call 919-870-4270.

  • J.L. Mann High School in Greenville, SC, is looking for a head coach, preferably someone with college wrestling experience. If you are interested, please contact Athletic Director Deb Osborne at (864) 281-1166.

  • Hunter Huss High in Gastonia will be needing a head wrestling coach for next year. Contact principal Mark Hollar or AD Terry Radford at 1518 Edgefield Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28052; 704-866-6610 for futher information. Prefer someone with coaching experience and/or college wrestling experience.

  • Eastern Alamance High is looking for a head coach, with a teaching position in social studies available. Call 336-563-5991.

  • Radford University is starting a wrestling team, and needs a coach! From Chris Middlebrook: "It has just been brought to my attention that at Radford University we are starting a wrestling team but are in a huge hole because of one thing - we need a coach!!!!! I transferred out of UVa last semester and came back to Radford and I know I would love to get back on the mat. If you know of anyone interested in coaching at Radford University please email me at csmiddle@runet.edu or call me at 540-831-1931. Or email the Radford University Wrestling President, Ben Silvester at bsilvest@runet.edu. I have spoken to several other former wrestlers here at Radford who are very serious about this and we are looking at getting involved with USA Wrestling right now."

  • UNC-Pembroke has a Grad Assistant position available for Masters Physical Education for Wrestling. Must be a North Carolina resident. Includes tuition waiver and stipend.
