The Elite 10 Team Rankings
Click here for background on the Elite 10
The Tournament Team Rankings of the Elite 10 are based solely on tournament scoring assuming each wrestler finishes this mythical tournament as he is ranked in The Super 32. Each team has their mythical team points listed beside their ranking.
Point system scoring: Super 32 #1 ranking - 22 team points, Super 32 #2 ranking - 18 team points, Super 32 #3 ranking - 13 team points, Super 32 #4 ranking - 9 team points, Super 32 #5/#6 ranking - 5 team points, Super 32 #7/#8 ranking - 3 team points, Super 32 #9/#10/#11/#12 ranking - 1 team point, Super 32 #HM ranking - .5 team points.
Since these rankings are based on the Super 32, please make sure to send any information on individuals from your team that you feel should be ranked, or ranked higher, to Dave at dave@ncmat.org.
Special thanks to Joe Shively Sr and Brian Prinz for volunteering to calculate the points.
The Dual Team Rankings of the Elite 10 are based on a weekly poll. The poll is open to coaches (one per school), officials, and media. Voting is open from Sunday-Wednesday each week, with the rankings posted each Thursday.
Point system scoring: 1st place vote (20 points), 2nd place vote (18 points), etc etc down to 10th place vote (2 points).
If you would like to register to vote, email me at sara@ncmat.com with your name, school (officials include your association, media include your outlet), email address, and password that you wish to use. Once you are registered, you will receive an email with instructions on how and when to vote. You may vote in all classifications, or just your own.
Please keep in mind that these rankings come completely from the results of the poll. I have no control over them! If you disagree with the rankings, then encourage more coaches and officials to register to vote. The more people across the state that vote, the more accurate the rankings will be.
