A Champion's Training

Everyday he wakes up and runs
he trains instead of having fun
he only works harder when he feels pain
when he lifts weights he feels such a strain
he is of a rare breed and he is hard to understand

Sometimes he even wakes up and runs before school
when people see him they think hes a fool
their words can not hurt him for he knows the truth
when he stands on the podeom it will have come atlast
the training and pain will all have past
and now he is a champion.

He thought it would be unreal
but he now knows the victory was in the training
and even the running he did when even raining
and now that all the madness has past
it starts again for only the next time
he will be the best and again pass the test

But now he trains
'cause he now knows the pain
and amount of training it takes
to be a champion,

he knows the road is long and hard
but that doesnt keep him from trying 'cause deep down inside
his drive he can not hide
'cause victory is for what he strides.
